About Me
I have been baking since I can remember! I love to cook and love to feed people.
After being in a professional role, I am thoroughly enjoying being able to let my creative side out.
In February 2018 our little boy was born and he is the reason I have decided to chase my dream with the support of my Husband. Joshua is only young but he is already showing great interest in baking and cooking and I really can’t wait until we are baking together as a family using my Great Nan’s bake stone.
I love the idea of passing family recipes and traditions down the generations and I am passionate about keeping traditional regional recipes alive. I think it’s important for different places to keep their identities and the best place to start is with something baked!

I would have thought you would like to know my Welsh credentials, being The Welsh Cake Lady and all! I am a proper Welsh girl through and through. My mum was born and brought up in Cwm, Ebba vale and my dad comes for the Welsh capital of Cardiff. Mum and dad had a short spell away from Wales when I was born but they where back by the time I was eighteen months old. I was born in Orkney but I don’t remember it so as far as I’m concerned I’m as Welsh as they get, even though I can only speak the odd Welsh word, I scream loud and proud for the boys in the Welsh rugby jerseys on international day! I spent my younger years growing up in the Brecon Beacons where I met my husband who again is born and bread in Wales. We have crossed over the border in more recent years but we are close enough for a bolt to the green grass of home when ever we feel like we need a top up of Welshness!
